The low-carbon transition requires both the emergence of new technologies and the large-scale deployment of existing solutions, whose levels of maturity and diffusion vary widely across sectors and countries. In this context, the design of effective climate policy instruments is crucial to support innovation, guide technology adoption, and accelerate structural change.

This one-day workshop brings together researchers working on the design, evaluation, and impact of climate policies aimed at fostering the development and diffusion of low-carbon technologies. The presentations will cover a range of topics including the regulation of urban transport emissions, the integration of carbon dioxide removal into energy markets, the strategic adoption of carbon capture in heavy industry, and the incentives for environmental innovation under different regulatory frameworks.
