Land Use Policies for Climate Change

Thierry Brunelle (Cirad, Cired) and Raja Chakir (INRAE, PSAE) are happy to announce the organisation of a Cland Workshop  “Land Use Policies for Climate Change” in Paris 12-13 February 2026.

🌱 This workshop will highlight recent advances in the challenges of implementing land-based mitigation measures. We will discuss key issues for land use policies in the context of climate change, including the design of financing schemes, questions of justice and equity, and the risks of unintended consequences such as leakage, spillover, and rebound effects. The workshop will gather researchers and experts to explore these challenges and discuss pathways for more effective and equitable land-based mitigation.
